Marsyas Trio Thursday 8th October 2026, 7:30pm Hidden Figures
The Marsyas Trio {flute, cello, Piano} takes its name from Greek mythology, inspired by the bold, spirited passion of the celebrated pipe-playing satyr who dared to compete with Apollo in a musical contest. The trio is formed of Royal Academy of Music graduates: Australian flautist Helen Vidovich, Canadian cellist Valerie Welbanks and Belarusian pianist Olga Stezhko. With a diverse repertoire spanning the Classical and Romantic eras to the present day, the Marsyas Trio’s programming illuminates forgotten masterpieces. With an exciting programme, this concert will showcase composers whose work was hidden from view by publishers, by gender or simply overshadowed by a more famous peer.

Tickets £17.50 each, may be purchased on the door at concerts. Reservations it is not necessary to reserve seats but, but if you wish you can reserve up to 4 full price tickets to collect and pay for on the door.
